As an international organisation for regional cooperation, the UfM, acting as partner to the World Health Organization, is mobilising all stakeholders to protect lives and livelihoods from Covid-19.
The current situation also offers an historic opportunity to explore and promote the potential that it entails for the Euro-Mediterranean region. Moreover, the pandemic is a unique chance to address the heavy impacts of climate and environmental change. The UfM is already working with its partners on assessing the impacts of the climate emergency, as well as assuming its role in promoting the economic potential, leveraging on its expertise, its networks and its methodology of action.
